Topics: Filters, diffraction gratings, colors in lights, exploring phenomenon of a light source appearing to be a certain color, when it is really composed of several different colors.

Week #3:
Creating Light: Electricity
Exploring circuits & switches (making light...what's going on?)
Making Flashlights (for advanced SMART electricians)

Topics: Applying principals of light to electricity explorations, shadows, circuits, and technology.

Week #4:
Light Technology: Projectors
Practical Projectors adapted from LHS Gems Magnifiers
(Using flashlights, magnifying lenses, and images on slides to make slide projectors.)
Careers Brainstorm (using light and lens technology)

Topics: Invention, technology of lenses.
